Updated 3D designs

=) Sun Hup came back with updated 3D designs...

Suddenly their newer 3D all comes with the big detailed technical box below. Reminds me of the technical studies drawing paper during secondary school days..... =P

Initital Wardrobe and Dresser idea from Sun Hup

Updated Dining Room design:  Sun Hup proposed adding mirror to the dining area. (Likely to cost more $$...) Maybe will reject this idea if the costs are too high.

Purple! Finally. Do you think the black is too much? The pic is also updated with the appliances we bought. 1x side-by-side door fridge, 1 chimmey hood and 1 build in oven. ( will post the appliances later. hahahaha. fun )

Cool right? I amended Sun Hup's 3D to this blackish wardrobe. There's a stupid beam at the area where we hack the storeroom. Hence there's no way to have full sliding doors across the entire length. Headache.



The 3D wardrobe is amended after we had suggested the changes. =) Good! But dresser design.... hmmm need to rethink.



1st day of Hacking!!!

1st day of Hacking by Sun Hup.

(Surprised to see they didn't paste up the HDB permit on the front wall. It has been approved and we had also emailed Perlyn the permit. Will remind them to paste it up)

Went to see the progress at night. Day time no chance as both of us are working. Can you believe the speed that they can hack?

1 day hacked
Living room and dining room floor tiles
+ Balcony wall and floor tiles
+ Entire kitchen cabinets
+ Kitchen wall and floor tiles
+ Common toilet all fittings removed
+ Common toilet wall and floor tiles

They still sweep all debris to corners for easier means to walk! I was wonder if wife can walk with her heels. But I guess now no problem. Also haven't seen the skip tank at the carpark. Wonder when they clearing up all these. 

Empty Kitchen! Suddenly we felt the kitchen seems so super small.

动土 Ceremony !! 19th July 2011

Master Lim was consulted for the 动土 date and time. 19th June! hahaha. At abt 2pm, we started to wack the tiles in a clockwise direction with East being the last. We had used our new ROYAL HAMMER!

Detailed Discussions at Sun Hup Interior Contracts

Drove all the way to Northlink Building to meet Perlyn and ah Kok for the detailed discussion on the reno and design.

Reached at 7.30pm. (started to drive at 6.30pm from Somerset going via upper Thomson and Sembawang to siam ERP... long heavy traffic... but still better than paying CTE's ERP)

Never thought the discussion will be so indepth... it went really well. Discussed on tile layout, water heater placement, designs of feature walls, design of kitchen, electrical and lights placement etc.... The whole night Perlyn and ah Kok discussed with us patiently.

Haha. Excited. Now we have to choose the laminates and think carefully what we want for the TV feature wall design. Too much choices might be a challenge always. Will post more pictures up later.

Kitchen concept!

Decided to email Perlyn what sort of kitchen we'll fancy and maybe she can give suggestions and amend the 3D and let us see how it its like.

I wonder if it's too much of solid top to use to cover the washing machine... it'll become a fancy tabletop if i go with this idea. hopefully not too exp.

Is purple cabinets too daring? haha. Looks chio and wanted to use this as an idea to let Perlyn know the color.

Perlyn and Mr Lau from Sun Hup Interior (yes... they are our contractor/ID) have finally sent us our 3D images.

Simple designs... maybe the feature wall can be more special?
Kitchen seems dull. Dining room we are not doing much.

Missing 3D design of the MBR and toilets! Where's the wardobe/dresser/partition feature wall??

Tile Selection

More or less, everything is quite settled. Hence, we went to choose our tiles! Tile choosing is really tough. So much choices and there's plenty that will burn a hole in the pocket....

Without ID, guess we are our own designers. Choose what we like and go with it! hahahaha.

Time for Design Ideas

Attached is the finalised idea of what we want to do!

Hack everything and rewire entire house.

Level up Balcony.
Change windows at Balcony.
Feature Wall at Living Room.
Build new Storeroom at Living Room. (Box up old main door)

Hack away old storeroom wall at MBR and seal up old storeroom door.
Build partition wall at MBR with relocate toilet door.
Build Wardobe and dresser at MBR

Have glass sliding door for both storeroom and kitchen
Build kitchen cabinets
